“I would define my wedding photography style as journalistic with an artistic/fashion influence. I try to capture the reality and emotion of the wedding day but at the same time I am aware of the fantasy and romantic view that couples have of their wedding day. Couples love beautiful images of themselves. They want to see their wedding day portrayed in a beautiful romantic and artistic manner. My background as a photojournalist allows me to capture the day in a comprehensive way.

“I have selected Nikon as my main equipment provider because of the quality of the optics, focusing speed and reliability. I use 4 cameras, many lenses and flash attachments, and an assistant or two keeps my equipment loaded and ready for me. My assistant will help you and your family during the formal pictures and may also take candid photographs throughout the wedding and reception, as a second shooter. “ I shoot in 35mm, and my Kodak photo processor of the last 2 decade develops the images to print and to digital at the same time. The question of film vs. digital is answered: I have them both, and from the best equipment, so the end result, your pictures, are as contemporary or traditional as you’d want them to be. “Because of my commitment to quality, I limit the amount of weddings to about 25 per year, and have shot hundreds. During the pre-wedding consultations, I ask the couple to give me their vision of how they want their wedding photographed. I feel that’s it’s ultimately up to the customer to determine how they want me to work. Many of my brides and grooms leave this up to me, but I pride myself on being flexible and accommodating. “I’m a member of the ‘Professional Photographers of America’, and of ‘Wedding and Portrait Photographers International’, the leading associations in my field.”
